Abstract of the Article:

In the digital world- there are artworks, graphics, music, videos, software programs and computer games for free and many others protected by copyright.
Open access allows users to copy and share with one another any (or even all) of the mentioned above, whereas, if protected by copyright then copying and sharing is considered illegal, unless allowed by the concerned individual/party.
Copyright guidelines may be incorporated in the school´s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The following provides information, guidelines and issues pertaining to copyright:

· Study Plans site
· Thinkquest
· Multimedia Copyright Guidelines for Students – A WebQuest for 6th Grade Students

Three things I learned from my RA:

· The difference of copyright and open access sources
· Limitations in downloading/sharing of digital file, programs, sources, etc
· Respect on someone’s property even in the digital world

Implication to me as a person:

· I should be more cognizant in using digital sources so as not to commit cybercrime.
